I work in a Combined cycle power plant. my question is about HRSG. in main outages to protect HRGS from corrosion the term used for this is the LAY UP. any one tell me about it? I will be thankful for this.

 

Lay up means set of HRSG during outage. If water is not drained, then air from atmosphere will corrode the tubes. Normally all water drained and HRSG is purged with N2.

Draining of water depends on duration of Layup.
