We are facing a drop wise oil leakage (30 drops per minute) from gear box lube oil thermocouple LTRG3D. Could not find detail drawings of thermocouple and guide pipe in GE manuals.
I have following questions
1) Is thermocouple inserted in a guide pipe or thermowell?
2) Is it safe to open this pipe from union to fix the problem on running turbine (oil showering hazard?)
3) Any suggestion to remove this leakage. We already tightened thermocouple head TB and adjustment screws with no effect.
