Can Pressure Switch known as Feedback switch?

If Pressure Switch is installed in pump Discharge Header and it was used only for alarm & indication to DCS.

What we sometimes do on pumps with diaphragm seals is to install a pressure switch behind the diaphragm seal. Should the diaphragm fail the pressure switch will pick up the pressure increase and initiate a ESD 1, meaning it will only trip the pump locally and alarm on the DCS to indicate the failure.

There is no such thing as a feedback pressure switch. You can get a analog feedback signal or get digital position feedbacks from a valve but a pressure switch will never be used as a feedback for something since it only responds to a specific change in a condition and that is not feedback. Feedback is if you have applied a force or a signal to a system and wants to see what the effect is, you can use the system's digital or analog signals to give you this information and based on that you will make another adjustment to achieve a specific goal and so on.

If this does not answer your question please put a little more effort in when asking a question.
