Trifoiling problem of cables

We have 11kV (UE) 12x1cx630 sq.mm. Cu cables which are connecting 11kV generator terminal to the primary of 11/33kV transformer. The length of the cable is around 150 meters per run. The trifoiling of cables has been done incorrectly since commissioning of generator. This is causing heating of the cables & resulting in frequent cable faults. Since the cables are buried inside the trench (under sand bed) and can not be exposed very easily.

Please suggest the best actions for this problem. Is there any other alternative solution instead of rectifying trifoiling of the cables.
