David Peterson is the Director of Engineering for Control Automation. He is a Mechanical Engineer who converted to the field of Control Systems Engineering and Making. He taught industrial controls and digital/analog circuit design at Centralia College in Southwest WA for 8 years before creating his own company with his brother Jon, also a controls engineer. Together as Peterson Brothers Automation, they spent several years investigating new ways to teach industry technicians and HS college instructors about new technology that can improve efficiency, reduce costs, and create positive workplace cultures. David was also the Program Manager of the IT3 Innovation Center in Ridgefield, WA, and has taught various control system and robotics courses at Clark College and Portland Community College. David lives with his wife and four children in southwest WA. His hobbies include climbing mountains, hiking, and 3D printing accessories for his nearly endless collection of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and LED projects. His greatest blessing in life is living near all of his family, and playing with his kids, nieces, and nephews.
