IEC 61800-3:2004+AMD1:2011 states that fieldbus (Modbus) ports on the product shall be tested for conducted emission in accordance with the applicable EMC standard for the actual fieldbus implementation.
The product's fieldbus implementation follows "MODBUS over serial line specification and implementation guide V1.02" using RS485 and allows rather long cables >30 meters between two devices.
Some fieldbus standards have an associated EMC standard such as IEC 61326-2-5, but I don't see Modbus in the scope of that EMC standard.
Which standard for EMC emission do you see as applicable or recommendable when testing the product?
