What is the difference If pressure transmitter connected to DCS, and Pressure transmitter connected to ESD?

Please strong feed back is expected.

Hi Anandan,

From hardware side connection point of view there are no difference between connecting pressure transmitter to DCS and connecting transmitter to ESD.

From functional / software point of view, there will be several differences, the main difference is : for the DCS pressure transmitter will be used as an input for regulator loop while for ESD pressure transmitter will be used as an input for safety loop.
