Can anybody tell me any power plant has successfully communicate/supervision control between Foxboro DCS with MK 6 via GE GSM protocol?

I am not aware about the powerplant application. But we had used it in a LNG plant. We communicated nearly 8 MKVI machines using GEGSM protocol. No problem in communication.

Hello,

There is an easier way to do that. You can use OPC. OPC Data Manager can easily bridge and transfer data between the two systems.
Here is a link to download the product:

IF you are NOT using OPC then you will need an OPC Server for Foxboro which you can download here:

http://www.matrikonopc.com/opc-drivers/205/base-driver-details.aspx

and here is a link to the OPC server for Mk V:

http://www.matrikonopc.com/opc-drivers/209/base-driver-details.aspx

You might wanna brush up on some OPC a little bit. so Here is a link to a tutorial:

Hope this was helpful

Hi,

I have configured my list to file excel, (that are of system-visualizazzione tag mark v, the system DCS foxboro via OPC) configured on the pc of the dcs foxboro. But I do not see anything when Mark v system works! What could be the problem?

I'm pretty confused here. The original thread was about Mark VI.

This latest post seems to be about Mark V.

I think in either system, GSM must be enabled on the operator interface (HMI) via a line in CONFIG.DAT in the 'Options' section:

GSM = YES

I'm presuming that the GSM server was enabled on the GE operator interface before communications were attempted?
