Dear all, I'm working in an energy company.
Recently i have faced this issue. My Generator is running with stable voltage ( 410 volt, 50 HZ) , but it’s excitation voltage goes higher and winding temperature increased. Previously excitation voltage was 27 volt. Now it is 35. Still now my Generator terminal voltage is 410 volt. So, what is the possible cause for this.

Would you tell us what kind of load it is...

Also do you see VAR fluctuating?

Do the overexcitation alarm or trip happen..?

 

Load is mostly inductive. I didn’t check VAR fluctuations. But yes there was an warning for over excitation

 

I advise you to check VAR behaviour

 

Thanks for your suggestion. But can you please mention some important point to give more attention while i will check my VAR behaviour
