Have got a strange problem, this is regarding P2 readings in one of turbines under major maintenence, The wirings of FPG2 pressure transmitters (03 nos) are removed but still the reading keeps on varying from 3 bar to 8 bars. What can be the reason?

The problem was solved, as it was found that one of the LVDTs of IGV was shorted to the screen and also one of the P2 transducer screens was grounded.

 

Do you believe you have a separate ground system for "instrumentation" (the Mark V) and earth ground (protective earth)?
