Hi we are connecting a compressor control system using A/B controllogix to a honeywell c200 system or we could go into the experion pks server - which works the best.

with hardware cost the C200 have serial interface card for this propose so if you don’t need more security or protection of the circuit, and the equipment have a independent protections systems, you can use this way for data communication and can use the variables in control strategy, historical and all the facilities in to the controller , or the server use RSLINX that’s can works if you want talking directly with a TCP port of the AB card if had one of course, with the problem that’s need license, need make tags for communication with third party systems and make algorithmic for use this variables in to the controller and all the time will depend of the servers, finally independent of the way, you need put a hardwire shutdown between the compressor and the controller for a right shutdown plant if your process required that.

 

for the Controllogix platform, likely the C200 works the best...
