I would like to ask about the PMG EXCITER frequency:

1- Why it is higher 5 times of the generator frequency

2-How to calculate the PMG frequency vs Generator frequency

3- In our power plant PMG frequency is 360Hz and generator frequency is 60Hz ?

1- Ummm, ... 360 / 60 = 6

2-The frequency of any AC generator can be expressed by the formula:

F = (P * N) / 120

where F = Frequency (Hz)
P = Number of poles of the generator
N = Speed of the rotor (RPM)

3- Umm, ... Because that's the way the manufacturer designed it?
