Hi,
I have a siemens OP27 and a siemens PG the latest
PG M.

This PG has a 25db COM port and the OP has a 15db communication port.

Can someone give me the pinouts for this cable , i searched internet for days , but it seems that a 15db port is not common?

Thanks a lot..

The port IF2 on OP27 has pinout:
2 TTY RxD-
6 TTY TxD+
7 TTY TxD-
9 TTY RxD+

The port on the PG has pinout:
9 TTY RxD+
10 TTY RxD-
18 TTY TxD+
21 TTY Txd-

Alternatively you can use the MPI port of your PG and OP27 to communicate.

Regards,

Bryce

Hello;

The PG has 2 com ports, a 9-pin for RS-232 and a 25-pin for TTY communications. On the OP27, one 15-pin connector (IF2) can be used for RS-232; we have used a standard 15-pin to 9-pin converter with a null-modem cable in older projects.

Another 15-pin connector (IF1A) can be used for TTY connections, mostly with a S5 PLC; if you need to use TTY with the PG, cable 6ES5 734-1BD20 will work (it has 25-pin and 15 pin connectors, with a current loop circuit built-in).

Hope this helps,
