I have two devices from separate manufacturers, and I have done communication in between them with the help of Modbus ASCII, but I'm facing some problems in terms of breaking of communication, please guide me.

Define "breaking"..
example 1: Works for a while, then stops..
example 2: never works.

Are you using RS232, RS485 or RS422?

The master should be able to give you error codes. What are they?
Giving manufacturer names isn't a bad thing here as many vendors read these forums. That said, who is the master vendor and what's the part#? What's the slave vendor and part#?

Putting a data analyzer on the line is also a good thing to do for troubleshooting. This way you can see the raw data going back and forth.
