Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a solution to measure/infer the calorific value of municipal waste for use as a feedforward signal for incinerator control. I am aware of the solutions that infer it from the flue gas composition but it would be great to have this measure before the waste enters the furnace. The objective is to improve the performance of the power plant under nonlinear model predictive control. Thank you.
