In the solar power system, how do you determine the size of the DC circuit breaker between the charge controller and the batteries?

 

The charge controller rating would be a good place to start.

The charge controller rating is 60Amp charging a 48VDC system batteries. What will be the rating of my DC circuit breaker? Thanks.

 

Without any regulations or other requirements. I'd probably wire for 75 Amps and use a 75 Amp breaker. That's 125%. That should hold even if the controller puts out a little extra for dead flat batteries until they acquire a surface charge. Hard to know better on limited information.
