Sorting Out IPC and Robot Handshaking: A Hands-On Tutorial

March 26, 2024 by Control.com

Control systems and robots must communicate for even the most basic industrial operations. As industrial PCs (IPCs) present a new alternative to PLC technology, the programming approaches escalate beyond simple ladder logic and discrete I/O modules.

In this session, join Control Automation's engineering team as we take a trip to visit our friends at Olis Robotics to learn about various methods and channels of sharing data between IPC and industrial robot systems, unlocking vast potential for vision, IIoT, preventive maintenance, and optimizing cycle times with intuitive and data-rich dashboards, perfect for maintenance and operations teams across any industry or robotic application.
