    As per SIS(ESD) standards the SIL Loop Primary Element(Transmitter or Field Switches) and Final element(Shut off/Vent Valves) shall be independent from DCS. If you're going to share the same devices for both SIS and for DCS, failure of such devices leads to loss of DCS control also..
