Time Stamp difference in GE Workstation and OPC UA client
I'm assuming you are looking at the alarm variable via normal OPC UA data, not the OPC UA alarm and event interface. Basically, the alarm system in the Mark VIe timestamps the actual transition of the alarm variable, but the OPC UA (non AE) timestamp is that of the EGD exchange carrying the...

4 to 20 mA in Cimview?? HMI?? MarkVIeS??
A few corrections. CIMPLICTY and Proficy Machine Edition are different products that came in from the same company that GE bought decades ago. PME is the IDE for the former GE PLC product line, and is now an Emerson product. CIMPLICTY is now a GE Digital product, along with Proficy Historian...

Library block copy
Generally you can simply open both projects (run more than one instance of ToolboxST) and copy-paste from one library window to another. Sometimes the library is protected and you cannot drill down to the specific block, but you can always copy the whole library. How well this will work...

Unable to Install ToolboxST V04.07.06C on Laptop
I swear I replied to the TAPIException question on a different thread, but I don't see the post now. For that matter, searching for TAPIException doesn't even find this thread, so something is up with the forums. Anyways, as ME42 says, you might have less trouble in a Windows 7 VM, but that...

I am facing an issue to get that ControlST Toolbox fixed on my laptop ( version 04.07.03C) TO open & visualize .dcb & .trn file of EX2000.
Usually this is a missing system dependency, probably the visual C++ 9.0 runtime (MSVCR90.DLL). Sometimes older windows application installers make assumptions about what system DLLs are available by default, so when you try to install them on Windows 10 they miss something that Microsoft no...

UCVEM06A Profibus communication
The Innovation Series controllers came out in the 90s, and GE has been out of the drives business for nearly 20 years; its probably a bit much to hope for Profinet support now. :) At best you'd have to have a gateway device that does support Profinet and interface it to the UCVE via Modbus or...

GE MARK 6E TOOLBOX ST
Well, either the OSM feature is enabled or you have not built and downloaded the WorkstationST configuration for the PC you are running on and it is running a prior configuration. Worst case, uninstalling WorkstationST clears the OSM flag.

GE MARK 6E TOOLBOX ST
The OSM, or "On Site Monitor" is a feature of WorkstationST that makes that particular PC Read Only in regards to the control system. It is intended for PCs that are going to be connected to an off-site network for monitoring and data collection. If the PC you are running on has its...

GE 9030 - IC693CPU364 - Firmware
GE sold their entire PLC business (but not the Mark VIe or other DCS controls) to Emerson last year; at this point, none of the GE sites are still active, you'll have to go through Emerson's support sites.

Daily flow totalizer in MARK VI
Actually, on the Mark VI there is the _UTC_TIME block under Timer_Counters in SBLIB (at least in the version I have, it may not have always been there). For the Mark VIe, there is the TIME_MON block which has additional capabilities. I do urge you to carefully examine failure modes on any...

Simulator for GE Mark VI
This appears to be tampered with (binary differences from my copy of the same version), presumably to remove the dongle protection. Just to be clear, it's an illegal copy.

MARK VI Serial Modbus Communication
You could ask GE, but its faster to Google GEI-100517, second link. :) It might also be installed from the eTCSS CD somewhere on the HMI, but I don't have one sitting around to check.

Ex2100e Excitation System Startup issue
It'll take a little more detail to help any. Aside from the local operator interface problem, what specific permissives, alarms or behaviors are blocking startup? On the operator interface, I could have told you anything about the prior generation EX2100's COI, but they have a new...

MARK VI Serial Modbus Communication
I could help you more in a Mark VIe/WorkstationST system, where what you're asking takes about 2 seconds. Unfortunately, in the Mark VI era it was a little more work, and also a little before my time so I'm not an expert. I can point you to GEI-100517A "Modbus for HMI Applications" which...

Questions About SIL 3 System Requirements
As a CSE I know put it, a lot of people try to "buy" SIL systems. It can't be done. The responsibility for SIL is the plant owner's, and they need their own certified safety engineer to help with the plant design and safety analysis. Having SIL rated components is nowhere near enough, and...
