Need help
The block appears to be a calculation module for steam flow rate through a valve. Steam flow rate is proportional to square root of differential pressure DP in the figure shown as input from another module. D,E,A are the fixed values used in the formula for flow rate. Without knowing the...

What is the difference between FREQUENCY CONTROL MODE AND ISOCHRONOUS MODE?
Assume isolated operation. Droop mode is proportional control. Control action goes on till mechanical power matches with load keeping frequency reference fixed. Isochronous mode is integral control. Control action goes on till frequency matches with the fixed reference frequency. Above refers...

How do we change the power of an electric generator without changing the frequency?
A Gas turbine generator (GTG) is either synchronized to a grid or connected an isolated load. Under grid connected operation, generator output is gradually increased by increasing the fuel flow till rated value. Once synchronized to a grid , frequency (or speed) does not change. If generator...

What is control constant? How to identify constant and variables?
In any Control System, there are some adjustable parameters provided for tuning the performance ( like Proportional, Integral and Derivative gains in a PID Controller). They are usually referred as "Control constants"

How do we change the power of an electric generator without changing the frequency?
Generator will continue to be connected to load. Turbine control can take care. In the rare event when control fails, under frequency relays etc can act and protect machine.

How do we change the power of an electric generator without changing the frequency?
When load increases from 2.5 MW to 5 MW, speed/ frequency starts falling and control system responds to increase fuel input so that generation can increase to 5 MW to match that of new load. At settling time speed/frequency however does not return to predisturbance value due to "droop"...

Pressure control mode of 250 mw BHEL make steam turbine
Initial steam pressure control Mode: MW is controlled by Boiler and Steam pressure is maintained by Turbine Controls. Limit Pressure Control Mode: Normally Load Controller maintains TG power output and boiler controller maintains steam pressure. But when pressure falls to a preset value...
