Can anyone who has used temp match to shutdown GE turbine going into an outage tell me if there is any benefit to doing this? Is there an average time frame you save? Is there a max stress on steam turbine per GE so as not to cause any damage? Can this be done as a 1on1 or do you need both...

Ge7fa upgrade of everything mk6 to mk6e. Turbine upgrade also. Try to crank and shaft starts turning wrong way then stops and returns to 6 rpm on tg. Anyone seen this or have any ideas? Thanks
