Need advice from a controls expert
Hi, The speed controller looks like it was some thing purchased off Amazon and controls the speed of a DC motor by changing the duty cycle of the voltage applied to the motor. There is no reverse connection. What I would suggest is wiring a couple of relays between the speed controller and the...

Rockwell 45MLA CAN Controller EDS File
He should read the manual no mention of EDS files and they also so step by step setting everything up. The only excuse I can see is that Rockwell forces you to log in with an account to get the documentation. I am not sure if it is free you you need to pay to do that.

Rockwell Studio 5000 23.00 how do I translate to 36.00
Follow the instructions. Download V23. ( I assume that you have a current license ) or convert it to V36 by selecting a new controller and firmware and saving it as a separate project. if you want to deploy it then you will need to make sure that your hardware can be upgraded to the required...

Using PLC as an ad hoc DAQ
This will work fine if all of your PLC's are networked Create a separate subroutine and data table in the PLC's you want to monitor. Use an OPC server to scan the PLC's at your desired interval(s) and scale / concentrate the data.

The Ladder was protected so you need the source copy or the password that it was locked with to be able to open it. V8 is really old so Ia m assuming that the Password is not obtainable from the original manufacturer. You may try calling AB and see if they will help , but they can be very...

PLC wiring check
I do not see any connection on the analog input card for the negative connector. the 420 mA signal must go in the + and out the - of the analog card. I am assuming the inputs are isolated so each channel neg needs to be connected to common. Hope this helps.

Length measurement issue
I think what you are doing with the spring loaded design is that you are driving it faster than the units that Run against the web. This is because it is on a radius and the radius changes with the thickness of the material. Think of it as two gears meshed if they both have 50 teeth then you...

Any programming language for my product
I looks like your hardware will interface with a microcontroller. In that case use the tools for the microcontroller you decide on. Most likely the language will be some form of C Another popular option would be to use a rasberry pi , you could then develop in C or Python. Python would have a...
