I need a wiring diagram to connect my notebooks com port to the a984-145 so that I can program it with proworx. Is it a straight through cable or do I need to do some pin swapping? Thanks!

The one I need would have two 9pin ends and one of them would connect to my com port.

 

Use a DB-9 Female conector on your PC and DB-9 Male on the CPU side. Conect pin 2-3, 3-2, 5-5. Also use jumpers in 4-6 and 7-8 on each conector.

The wiring is specific there are 3 crossovers and a loopback.

Search internet for modicon 984 145 programing cable. You also need to refer to operations manual there is specific protocal for first time acess you must use.
