Mark V 3com Etherlink

Have Mark V <G> with Etherlink II operating. Attempted to upgrade to Etherlink III. Loaded FTP software PC/TCP for Etherlink III. Autoexec.bat starts driver 3c5x9pd. Error message "divide overflow" and <G> locks up. 3com says disable PNP using 3c5x9cfg. Boot with system disk, run 3c5x9cfg and error "runtime error R6003 - integer divide by 0", <G> locks up. DOS 6.22 in use with IDP 4.6. 3com indicates IRQ 10 selected by card. IRQ 10 not used in <G> so no apparent conflict.

Any experience with Etherlink III and <G> or Smart Remote with ENET.DAT?
