I am having difficulties uploading message files to Magelis unit XBT H002010. The software will recognise the unit, erase the current file and then get through loading around 6% of the protocol and then fail. We have recently upgraded the software (xbt-L1000) to version 3.8 (from version 3.1 - having been version 1.1 to start with). The magelis units that we are having problems with seem to be the ones with version 1.1 bios, loaded up okay with the 2.2 bios. Can anyone tell me if this is the problem and if it is where and how I can upgrade the old bios?

 

One possible reason is an incompatibility with the Magelis text-based terminals with a BIOS revision of 1.1 (see the sticker on the back of the unit) and the Windows NT family of operating systems. (ie. WinNT, Win2k and WinXP)

Order the following BIOS chip set to correct this issue.

Part Number is W815603620111 and it comes in a package of 9 chips. The instructions to install the BIOS chips are included in the package.
