What is the standard Industrial practice to to check Ultrasonic Gas Flow Meter accuracy?

Full calibartion checks only possible at some certified labs in Europe and USA.

Validation, proving and verifications are enough to check the accuracy? What is the general practice?

We are using Instromet UFM.

Thanks

I believe the Gas Ultrasonic Flow Meter is being used for Natural Gas application, there are labs which can calibrate the meter on air as well as natural gas.

You can also use Clamp On Ultrasonic to counter check the meter but this won't be the true method to verify the accuracy, the best approach would be to calibrate the meter against master meter/prover in lab.

If the line size is more than 6" I would also recommend using a Pitot Tube to perform a traverse to determine the actual flow.

Dear Sir,

There only one way to calibrate online UFM is against Standard meter.

I would recommend you use a clamp on doppler meter to solve this problem. Install the sensors after a bend to get the best effect. These meters work great on all liquid and gas applications and some brands cost less than 500 dollars. Contact me if you need more technical assistance.
