What are the possibilities to have a link between a Siemens S7 300 or 400 and a TDC 3000 HPM controller?
A DeNox unit in a furnace exhaust gas will be controlled by its own PLC. I need to have a link between this PLC and a TDC 3000 HPM controller in order to monitoring the process and, if necessary, change some parameters (set points, alarm threshold...). Communication must be bidirectional. PLC will manage 4 or five analog controllers, less than 20 digital inputs, and about 20 digital outputs. What's the best choice for that? Profibus, serial interface... others???

I recently used a CP441-2 card in a S7-400 system. This card is a programmable communication module and accepts Modbus RTU Protocol (and other protocols also). Using this hardware & software you can easily communicate with a HPM Serial interface that acts as primary because the CP441-2 acts as slave only.
