PLC can be utilized for digital I/O's for economical solutions in BMS application. Analog I/O's with different signals of sensors (PT100/Ni1000) & transmitters (0-10Vdc/4-20mA)it is better to use DDC controllers of BMS. When it comes to integration of both with two way communications there are problems of protocols. As BMS won't work on Modbus.
