i am little bit confused that why we used the temperature sensor for measuring the natural gas. it is used for density measurement but is any other parameter will measured from this sensor?

 

Volume is directly Proportional to Temperature.

Suppose you are measuring same volume for a gas system during day as well as at night.

As temperature differs for day and night you will never get a good result,if you do not add temperature compensation.

Gas Totalizer usually incorporate AGA formulas for the output results. In these formulas Temperature measurement is basic requirement for accurate results.
