Hi

We will build a new supercritical Pulverised boiler. Previously we have experience on 135 MW subcritical CFB boiler. I just would like to know about what are the mainly differences in control principle between subcritical an supercritical boiler.

for example we have used drum level control, but on supercritical it will not be needed. so that feedwater flow control and shall be considered by which elements

Or Furnace temperature will be higher but will control principle be same?

Or superheaters steam temp and press values will be high so desuperheater control loop shall use same elements

Consequently will we only need to change the coefficients which are used in PID control loops?

Thank you
