Growing up in Lancaster, PA, Jeff Kerns always enjoyed working with his hands, which is one of the reasons he ended up studying mechanical engineering. At school, he managed the school’s Material Science Lab and also accepted co-ops for two aerospace companies focusing on drafting, quality, and manufacturing. After college, he became a commissioning engineer in the gas and oil industry working internationally on precision rotary equipment. Later in his career, Jeff started helping a robotics and automation company build equipment for the automotive industry. Today, he is working on startups, consulting, and freelancing in New York with a passion to continuously learn about new technology and share it with the industry.
