CIMPROJ folder contents in MARK VIe
Shakarmi, what exactly are you looking for? Are you working on a live system or trying to replicate this on a separate system? Note: the Cimproj files are separate from the Mark VIe files. they are 2 different software packages. What type of GT unit is this for? What version of...

How much bit can a Mark VI controller's processor can process at one clock cycle
Curious...Why do you need to know if it is 32 bits or 64 bits? Barinda, the UCSC (and all Mark VIe) goes down to 10ms scan rate.

MARK VIe
You cannot "force" the 'A' or 'K' status. those come from being an alarm and from the acknowledge command from the alarm viewer. You can't force them to change the status.

MARK VIe
Mahad83, In your picture, "False A" would be the value of the signal is 'False' and there was/is an Alarm attached to this signal. Depending on the settings, the alarm might be active when the value is TRUE or FALSE. You need to acknowledge/reset the alarms to remove that "A". Also, you...

Emerson Ovation vs GE Mark VIe
CSA, great notes and suggestions! I have talked with several customers that have similar debates on their controls. At the end of the day, their main reason for switching from Mark VIe to Emerson was due to the lack of support by GE. Emerson does offer better response than GE. However...

IOT advise
Terry, Good luck on this endevour. I do not know of any out of the box solutions. Each one takes some level of work and setup. I know OSI PI has hooks and handles to connect up to the internet allow a web page interface. I am not sure about Android connectivity. Emerson has good tools...

Cimplicity License Not detected by Toolbox dongle
Cimplicity and ControlST (version 5 thru 7) have a shared licensing system. You can only use 1 "license file" at a time. I imagine that one license file is on the USB dongle, and the other is locally on the box. Or maybe you have 2 seperate USB dongles. You will need to get both license...

Upgrade Control ST 4.7 to 7
The license for ControlST 4.7 does not work for ControlST 7.0. You will need to buy a new license. Also, you will need to migrate to at least Cimplicity 9.0 too. I would recommend at least going to ControlST 4.07.12c. That will run on Windows 10. However, you will have to upgrade Cimplicity...

Control ST Cimplicity connectivity issue.
Utility.cpp, I would look in 2 places to see where it is failing 1) Open up ToolboxST. Go to your HMI configuration. Go to the far right "EGD" tab. Click "EGD Packet Log from HMI" Click "Start Collecting", then click stop. If you dont see packets appear in the list, then your HMI is not...

4 to 20 mA in Cimview?? HMI?? MarkVIeS??
Yes, that is correct, the conversion is done directly on the IO module. you would need to write logic to convert it back to 4-20. See below the places where you define Low input/value and High input/value.

PPRA MARK VIe
CSA, eventually they pulled all of the turbine specific IO (PTUR/PPRO/PPRA/etc) into a new volume - GEH- 6721 VOL III. So, you might want to check that. ControlEng99, When do these alarms come in? Is it only during start up or shut down? Or periodically through baseload/part load...

Proficy Machine Edition 9.0 upgrade
I thought you can still buy a USB and then program the 'soft key' on this USB. The the soft key can still be removed from the USB.

Proficy Machine Edition 9.0 upgrade
What do you mean by hard key? you mean a phsyical USB? They should still be available from GE/Emerson. Ask for an M4 or M5 USB for licensing. I think M4 is non-reprogrammable and M5 is reconfigurable.

MARK VI-Fail to download application code
Is this a test setup? or is this an actually TMR controller at site? The fact that you can download (and probably ping) to the S controller is very interesting. The SDI comms could be overloaded on the S controller and need to be refreshed. or for some reason you cannot get SDI communication...

GE Mark VI not in control state
BRIQ99 & CHeedee (this applies to your situation) This issue happens only when rebooting the system. The Mark VI (& VIe) requires that ALL IO modules be 100% communicating upon startup. So if you lose the VPRO when the Mark VI is already online & Controlling, then it will continue to run...
