Mark VI how to turn off sync
esganfia, No; without being able to see the application code running in the Mark VI where you are working we can't confirm anything. And, as I say, if the Mark VI was configured and programmed by GE Belfort "engineering" then it would be extremely important to see the application code running...

Mark VI 2nd breaker synchronization
Children, Let's all play nice, please. 50.1 Hz for grid frequency? How does one do that? Is that some bit of code that GE provided? Or something that's recommended by someone else (the external synch check relay)? A SLD (you really should explain the TLAs (Three-Letter Acronyms) you use...

Mark VI Automatic Synchronization Control in VTUR
esganfia, It's not necessary to make the external synchronization check relay have exactly the same synchronizing parameters as those used for 52G. As long as there is overlap between 25A and the external relay's windows of closure, then it's all good. And each breaker has different...

Gas Generator Fighting Each Other...
MRasool, I did some World Wide Web sleuthing early this morning and see that Deep Sea 8610 controllers are synchronizing and load sharing controllers. So, it would seem that ControlsGuy25's advice is the best at this point--there is something amiss with the load sharing "scheme." (I put...

Mrasool, AND, you're going to have to tell us if there's any kind of load sharing scheme active when the two generator-sets are operating in parallel (synchronized).

Gas Generator Fighting Each Other...
This behaviour is excatly what would be expected of two generators operating in parallel with each other (synchronized together) when both governors are set to operate in Isochronous speed control mode. When two generators are syncrhonized together to supply a small set of load(s), it is...

flow divider westinghouse
fabio9, Here's what I found in the Roper Pumps company brochure: There's a 20136 for MS501F and MS501G, and a 20127 for 501D5, but I don't see a 20137. Here's a link to their Contacts webpage: Contact | Customer Service | Sales | Roper Pump Company (roperpumps.com) Best of luck!

MOOG Servo Valve
Judah, The documentation, even from MOOG, for some of these servo-valves isn't very good. The MOOG servo-valves I have most of my experience with are bipolar--meaning they accept positive and negative current (-10 mA to +10 mA). The coils have a resistance of 1000 ohms, and there are either two...

MOOG Servo Valve
Judah, This is question best asked of a MOOG authorized re-seller. You need to ascertain what kind of electrical configuration the servo-valve you possess has, and then they can tell you what is required. The table above is from a data brochure for 77 Series servo-valves from the MOOG...

Help with GE-Frame 5 Spin test
behrad_m, Thank you for your clarification. This is a controls-related forum. We deal primarily in controls-related issues. We occasionally dabble in mechanical (and balancing/vibration) issues--but very rarely, as this is primarily a controls-related forum, but usually only as the issue...

Mark V Trainer
While it may be time-consuming, if you swap individual cards one at a time for 24 hours between, say, <S> and <T>, and the problem stays in <S>--then that tells you it's something in <S> or on the DENET or IONET connected to <S>. On the other hand, if the problem moves to another processor...

Mark V Trainer
The GingerBeer, I don't really understand the attachment.... The thing that jumps out at me is that the cards which dropped to A2 are all on <S>'s IONET (well, except the IOMA, which may well have gone to A2 because it deals with the external processor I/O card--I don't recall, and the IOMA is...

Mark V Trainer
TheGingerbeer, There are Mark V trainers, and there are Mark V trainers. Most people refer to a "spare" Mark V panel in a lab or building as a "trainer" because, if it can be powered-up it can be used for testing purposes, and even some training. GE did manufacture a Mark V "suitcase"...

Atomizing Air Booster problem
grajesh, That would be an excellent question for GE Belfort.... And the answer would be very interesting. Personally, I see no problem with the sequencing not changing the position of the bypass valve until 14HS. And, from what the original poster wrote it doesn't seem to adversely affect the...

Mark V DCC error
ControlsGuy25, I'm still scratching my arse after watching that YouTube video.... Can't blame the original poster; he's probably wondering how to resolve this problem. If all the I/O cards--and the processors (<C> and <D>) are at A7--and they can "stop" the problem or make it shift by...

Mark V DCC error
Ali Sadikin, Tambak Lorok, eh? Well, I would suggest you do as Frame5Guy suggested and do some maintenance on the connectors and receptacles of the Mark V I/O cards. It is highly recommended that conductive grease be applied to ALL cable connectors/receptacles at least once every two years...

behrad_m, "We cain't spin-dry the tuhbine!" That was one phone call I received a few years ago. Took me a few minutes to determine the unit had been off-line water-washed and they were trying to CRANK the unit to dry it out (at least that's what I think that person was trying to say, because...
