GT Percent Impedance
NKT... typically, the allowable tolerance is +/- 10. 1) The difference will not affect its load carrying function. 2) More important are the copper and iron losses. They could have a significant impact on operational cost. 3) Yes, fault-current will decrease, but it's insignificant...

Frame-V Gas Turbine Flame Detector Bypassed
Barindra75... you must advise someone in authority about what you have observed! You, your fellow workers (including management) visitors, people in surrounding communities, etc, are in a very, very, very precarious situation! I suggest you search Control.com Archives for flame-detectors...

Barbican... The voltages and speed should not, repeat, should not be the same. I believe you need to review your Synchronizing Procedure! I suggest you Search Control.com's archives for "Sync" or "Synchronize" Phil

Auto Transformer Issues
Azizam... this seem to be a copy of what was posted on thread # http://control.com/thread/1445226180. Following are several questions asked on the first thread: 1) Presuming the Xfmr's are in parallel, can you send a simple SLD or hand-drawn sketch with pertinent data? 2) Also include...

AVR Drop
CSA... hy did you suggest to Saied that he obtain a copy of my "Physics of... Armature Reaction" paper? By your own volition you refuse to address it! Too bad! If you had read it you'd know it doesn't address the AVR impact on MVAr!

Saied... I suggest you avail yourself of Control.com Archives. You will find a wealth of meaningful data. Just use the Control.Com "Search the Site" Tab, by typing in 'MVAr' or 'kVAr'. Phil Corso

Thyristor Controlled Heater
Diaa... Hmmm... CSA hasn't asked yet... but is problem new, or has it existed since commissioning? If the latter then it's my "guess" that engine/generator has too little inertia. You said both generators are in parallel at the time! They lose sync when load changes! How much, 20kW...

Synchronized Generator Current
Barbican... what you are "seeing" is a high circulating-current between alternators. It is the result of their internal EMF's (technically Air-gap voltage magnitudes, Egp1 and Egp2) being unequal. What are their terminal voltages, Vt1 and Vt2, before the synchronizing breaker is closed...
