Simulator for GE Mark VI
dinoo31, Sect. 3 of GEH-6749 mentions it does require a dongle, and a "special" driver for the dongle. Do you know if this runs with the "normal" dongle, or does it require the "special" dongle, as mentioned by mhwest?

GE Mark V Simplex Not Downloading From EEPROM on Startup
municipalpower, Control Constants for <R> exist in four (4) places: CONST_Q.SRC CONST_Q.DAT (or, CONST_Q.AP1) <R> EEPROM <R> RAM When the Mark V is controlling and protecting a turbine it uses the RAM values. RAM is volatile memory, and whenever <R> is re-booted or powered up the RAM...

Queries regarding GE Gas Turbines Frame VI MarkVIe
Bijitkb, You have a GE-design Frame<b>6</b> gas turbine and generator with a Mark VIe turbine control system. Exhaust temperature spreads have been covered MANY times before on control.com. There is a cleverly hidden 'Search' field at the top right corner of the Menu bar of every desktop...

PDIO replacement, Markvie controller failed to boot
iqbal5903, I believe I answered the main question, but I'll try once more. As part of the boot-up process of an I/O Pack (or of the main controllers) one of the steps is to enable the inputs to the I/O pack so that the values can be read, then shared with the other controllers, and then...

PDIO replacement, Markvie controller failed to boot
>We have two mark vie controllers for Gas turbines. What does that mean? That you have a DUAL Redundant Mark VIe control system with two UCSx controllers, or that you have two Mark VIe turbine control systems for two gas turbines? If you have two Mark VIe control systems for two gas turbines...

LM2500 Using Ovation
Turbinecontrolguy, For any kind of warranty/guarantee on the engine and power turbine, it's usually required to have a turbine control system that is approved by the GE Aircraft Engine group in Evendale, OH USA. Especially if the LM has any kind of DLE or is anything other than a SAC (Single...

Synchronization Cards
ghaemi525, I don't know if I've answered "all" of your questions. The information shown on Sheets 24H through 24L primarily show software, which would be executed on the main microprocessor card of each of <R>, <S> and <T>--EXCEPT for the <SYNCH> module shown on the top of Sheet 24H, which is...

Exhaust Thermocouple
elmeskawi, >It sounds like the wire is coming lose from the lug that >connects to the thermocouple. Not everyone has the "Frankenstein" style of thermocouples; there are still a LOT of machines that haven't upgraded. And, I think the original poster hasn't posted enough information for us...

Compressor Maximum Operating Limit
You just keep believing that. "Trust by verify." Go out and check the calibration range/scaling of the transmitter. CPR is (CPD + Atmospheric Pressure)/Atmospheric Pressure. So, it's either the CPD transmitters or the atmospheric pressure transmitters, or both. And, if you're just looking...

ghaemi525, You need to be referring to the schematic for the generator breaker close coil circuit. That schematic shows all of the "permissives" (requirements; contacts from various places--the generator control & protection panel AND the Mark IV) that are required to be able to close the...

AIFH Control
Absolutely it's possible. The Mark VIe is field-expandable. Most inlet filter house manufacturers want to supply the controls for their equipment if for no other reason than warranty issues. Understandable. But, if you (or ownership) owns the machine, the sky is the limit--as long as you...

PID Tuner Generator Seal Oil Valve Mark VIe 7FA
Hello, Based on the information provided, Iâ'm going to guess the "algorithm" is a Macro, for which there is no block help provided. That seems to be happening quite a lot with Mark VIe, and it must be a relatively recent change to go from the mechanical differential pressure regulator used...

Subhash Nemani, You mentioned CPR.... The atmospheric (barometric) pressure transmitters are critical to the calculation of CPR. Have you verified they are working correctly? The barometric pressure transmitters are quite often found to be not working correctly. They usually have an open...

alizareian67, Synchronization is the same in all Mark IV turbine control panels, regardless of the turbine it is controlling. I have never noticed the "modification" of SVL by TNH (percent of rated speed) to derive 'Speed Corrected Volts' before (or if I have, I have long since forgotten)...

Gross Calorific Value Effects
