Stuck in a Case Twincat 3
you might want to put an else statement before each end_if and some debug info in each condition to give yourself a clue as to where it is cycling.....

Selection of pneumatic control valve with pressure activated positioning
hey Matt I would give Festo or SMC a call they are specialists in valves...I would imagine you need some control element to your design I doubt that it would work as you've described in your drawing without some electronic controlling device. You could also do away with the hydraulic/pneumatic...

Question about Temperature Control
All depends what you are heating up.....a large thermal inertia ....PID control is not good enough and needs embellishments If I remember correctly it's to do with the dead time vs rising time...i.e. how long it takes to respond to how long it takes to get to 90 percent of its set point. The...

Thorn DC motor controller wanting Schematic for the controller.
Hi Campa That worked out for you then ...panic over. I would agree with Dave SSR is most likely a solution, Make sure that you have some sort of fusing in that line usually SSR's blow open circuit but you never know. Don't forget the heat paste compound on the SSR ( that if it is the small...

Flex feeder vibration system
Hello I have done some work on this type of system in the past ...it is essentially a vibrating conveyor system. Typically used in the food industry and others where hygiene is important. If you are looking at the controls of such a system then it is your typical industrial control system..PEC...

Easy way to get data out of PLC's?
Hello Colin That would be nice if there is a bit of code that interpreted all communication protocols. If you are asking how to get data out and then export to some PC based package...I have done this before I used OPC. I can't remember all the details but you have to set up some tags via OPC...

Motor parameters for squirrel cage motor
I thought I would wrap this up. I had a conversation with a guy who is doing some research on a new type of rotor construction. He was kind enough to send me his thesis. Coincidentally the method he used was very similar to the one I mentioned. So I can conclude that there is something in it...

Crude terephthalic acid (CTA) Slurry flow Measurement
Yes it sounds ok...15 seconds is plenty...is it a centrifugal decanter ? do you have a P&ID ...if your concern is to read the mass change in 15 seconds....the load cell and conditioning instrument can do this.....but you have to filter the signal correctly otherwise you will get an inaccurate...

Crude terephthalic acid (CTA) Slurry flow Measurement
Hello Salman Like I said can you measure the mass of the vessel that it is dispensed to? If so then you could have a solution...never mind all the vibration on theload cells ...that can be dealt with either mechanically or by other means.

Crude terephthalic acid (CTA) Slurry flow Measurement
If you have exhausted all the major instrument suppliers,,,but they usually have something. Just thinking out of the box. here ...If you can you measure the mass of the vertical decanter .. There is a system used in the food/others industry that measures the rate of change of weight ...google...
