Duty cycle of Motorized valve is 80%. What does 80% means.
Good luck answering your question. I'm told IEC 60034 covers motor duty cycles, but I don't have a copy. When I dealt with 90/160° actuators (typically on valves, occasionally on a damper) I could not find a factory guy to explain which "S" class category their smaller torque (HVAC) motors...

Honeywell FSC and EPKS
One, FSC, is a safety controller; the other, Experion PKS, is a process control system. This page says that Honeywell's FSC was a first generation Fail Safe (Safety) SIL3 Controller, it is now obsolete and has been replaced by Safety Manager...

The motor can be running 80% of the time. It can run 48 minutes in an hour. If it runs more than its rated duty cycle then the motor tends to over heat.

Presumably the multivariable/DP transmitter has materials of construction suitable for contact with either a liquid or a gas process. And presumably the multivariable/DP transmitter has a pressure rating to allow it to survive the DP it encounters in the process. But, on a steam line, by...

Fisher-Rosemount (Emerson) Hydrostatic Tank Gauging
> Instrument 2 is in the atmosphere ( so not tank) Usually the smart transmitter command to "zero" is used to zero out any offset due to either - mounting position, physical tilt of the sensor's diaphragm or position - applied pressure due to the installation circumstances If the instrument...

I do not understand your interpretation of the HART device poll response of 03hex as being slaves 1 and 2. The table on page 5-16 shows 03hex as Slave 4. How do you get slaves 1 and 2 from the table information? Does your master use zero-based addressing? If you're polling 30296 (one-based)...

Proface PFXGP4301TAD modbus TCP
That's a lot of nice application packages. That RKA SB1 is nice little electric heater controller. I like the combination DIN rail/flange-wall mount option with brackets for pipe mounting, something none of the vendors offered when I was spec'ing that stuff. Did any of your customers ever use...

Shame on Proface tech support for not recognizing this wiring/enabling issue with Modbus on their own HMI's.

The GP-4210-TM'"s RS-485 DB9 wiring connector diagram is shown below. It's 4-wire RS-485. 10 years ago, a guy who wrote code for gateways (Linse) mentioned potential problems with wiring 4-wire RS-485 masters as 2-wire (jumpering the driver lines Tx(+) jumpered to Rx(+); Tx(-) jumpered to...

I can't help with Proface, but I can suggest that you get a USB/RS-485 adapter with the FTDI chipset and download the Open Modscan freeware app (a generic Modbus Master app) and use it to confirm that an RTU master can read a slave, the TK4S. Open Modscan and its download link is mentioned in...

UDC 3000 temp reading
For the record, the US commercial heat treating industry used paralleled thermocouples between a controller and a recorder for at least 4 1/2 decades, 1950's through the mid 1980's, and there are some that still maintain the practice today. It can work. The continuous process industries that use...

SIEMENS MAG 6000 INSULATION FAILURE
The verificator. Another suitcase magic box. It does what it does. Spits out a go or no-go. Still works with a serial port after all these years (with software limited to using only COM ports 1-4). How convenient! And you're supposed to believe the results because it has a Siemens...

What makes SCADA and DCS different? Are they always integrated? If yes then how?
Yes, the features of SCADA, Data acquisition and an historian, are present when a DCS has an historian,

UDC 3000 temp reading
The AD F4-08THM module is a thermocouple (T/C) input module so presumably the connection is made with the Type K thermocouple wire in parallel from the UDC 3000 to the AD T/C module (not copper wire, not some other thermocouple type wire). Either unit can be misconfigured for the wrong type...
