GT Exhaust Over temperature trip (how the logic works)
Apart from calibration drifts of thermocouples and RTD's, temperature sensors fail as an open circuits either gradually or instantly. Open circuit thermocouples read low, open circuit RTD's read high. As WTF mentioned the vendor is not using effective logic when multiple sensors are involved...

If you are dealing with process control, as you summary of valve errors suggest you might be, it is far more complicated.

Hysteresis - Calculation method
If it is only an example, there are countless references to address accurracy and the various subcategories involved. You'll be better off sorting out what works in your case. It won't be simple as there are eighteen categories for static error, and that's just the beginning. Good luck,

Hysteresis - Calculation method
You need to explain how the individual tests are performed, and what standard is used to guage calibration error, before attempting to address hysteresis.

Why are my Telegraph Transmitters not grounding correctly?
As with all sensitive signals, local grounding leads to the problems you have describe. Contact the supplier of the alarm system, they can explain it in detail. The redundancy you describe is not redundancy in a real sense, as that requires independent installations.

Why are my Telegraph Transmitters not grounding correctly?
Use two wire link with your transmitter, do not ground your wiring separately.

Nitrogen pressure switch
Better off shop testing with dry gas, that way no worries If have an existing pressure transmitter on the header, you may be able to do checks without a hand pump.

Curious about why the Discharge MOV opens 1 minute after starting the BFP
It is not that simple, you'll need to look at the p&id's and the controls associated with the two steam drums. You may have a flow meter or two in the system as well.

Setting up a VFD to unknown motor
Don't forget it appears to be a single phase motor not designed for VFD, only 60 Hz constant speed.

Setting up a VFD to unknown motor
One test is for 110V Hz power, under load. The second test, you have already performed. The bottom line, per an internet search is that 3-phase motors motors are required, good luck finding your new motor, with specs
