Can anyone help me regarding how to communicate the ACS880 VFD from Siemens PLC S7-1500 over profinet control. The drive ahs Profinet IO card FPNO-21 S2 and programming in TIA Portal V17.0

ACS880 has sample program available on ABB site for Profinet

 

In that program I am unbale to read the forward and reverse start , also the current scaling is not matching with drive current

 

Hello Sir,
First of all you need to check which profinet frame selected in VFD and accordingly you need to select in PLC.
For example 2 word In / 2 Words Out
So it will be Control Word and Speed setpoint for output
And Status Word and Actual Speed for Input.

If you have configured current in frame the it should be scaled as 0-100% to 0-16384(in PLC)

 

VFD will send counts as 0-16384 so you can scale as 0-100%
