Lenze 8400 drive error

Hello
Lenze 8400 drive behaving strange. normally it works fine for many hours without any problem. suddenly motor stops and rpm on lenze 8400 becomes zero (C00051). then we power off the machine, power ON again then starts and drive starts normal
sometime the drive stops with an alarm "Motion Control kernel CK16 timeout. Remote Control"
can anyone help me in this regard?

The Lenze 8400 drive stopping unexpectedly with C00051 (actual speed 0) and occasionally showing a CK16 Motion Control Kernel timeout is likely caused by a combination of feedback, communication, or power issues rather than a random fault. The C00051 fault usually indicates a loss or disturbance in the motor feedback signal, which can result from a loose or damaged encoder cable, intermittent encoder failure, motor parameter mismatch, or transient overcurrent/overvoltage conditions, while the CK16 timeout occurs when the motion control kernel does not receive expected remote commands within its configured timeout, often due to interruptions in fieldbus or remote I/O communication, PLC scan delays, or overly tight timeout parameters. To troubleshoot, inspect all encoder and motor cables, verify signal quality with diagnostic tools, ensure PLC or remote controller continuously sends commands, check power supply stability, and confirm drive parameters match the control cycle times. Updating the Lenze 8400 firmware to the latest version can resolve potential kernel or communication bugs, and enabling diagnostic logging will help capture fault events for deeper analysis, allowing systematic identification and correction of the root cause while preventing recurrence.
