I have to interface a HMI application on RSView platform with an ABB plc, a KT97 one. The PLC is configured as Modbus slave and is now communicating with another supervisor, which is going to be removed. In order to not modify the plc's software, i need a Modbus Master driver running under RSLinx platform. Somebody please help me.
Thank you very much.

Hi,
There is a Kepware Driver which can be even made available from Rockwell Automation at Extra Price, which supports, around 32 Different Protocols including Modbus.

If you want mail me (sagar_ra @hotmail.com). I can send you some more info.

I have successfully utilized the Modicon "In Gear" OPC server to connect an RSView application to a network of devices on Modbus RTU (RS485 2-wire) via 232/485 converter. The system works very well, and is very scalable with an unlimited tag OPC server.
