hi and hi again guys..i need ur help seriously...I m currently working on a project, that allows an owner to interact with his car via sms..and i have to make it a two way communication...
the system includes a car, several sensors, a microcontroller, a gsm modem and a cellphone...
when the sensor is triggered when car is stolen, it sends a logic bit of 1 to the microcontroller...the microcontroller should then determine the message that is to be sent to the owner, and sends it serially to the gsm modem via a communication port, which in turn gets sent to the cellphone...and it should also be able to receive commands from the user via sms...
i am at a loss as to which microcontroller i can use to design this system...i would be comfortable in programming with C or MATLAB...however, i would like some suggestions from the group on how to make this system work...
I was told to use microcontroller instead of PLC due to cost...so please...help me!!!
