Does anyone know if there is an easy tool available to search for and replace strings in a PDL file (pictures in WinCC)?

There is a tool for this on the WinCC CD under smart tools. The tool was called variable import export, it allows you to export all elements on a picture to a csv file. This csv file can be edited and reimported.

 

Look to the "Link" option under the "Edit" toolbar item
