3 Phase Induction Motor Connection
Is it possible to start a motor with a Delta connection in star configuration?

I have a 3 phase induction motor, rating as:

440 VAC
7.8 AMP
0.86 PF
4 KW
3460RPM

As it technical specification mentioned that the connection is Delta. Is it possible to start the motor in star configuration?

Yes, bear in mind the starting torque will be less. So if it's a constant torque load like a loaded conveyor, it may not have enough.

BTW
I haven't seen a Star Delta starter since my apprenticeship in the 70s.

It depends on whether or not the motor winding ends are all brought out to the connection box. If you only have 3 connections, then no.
