Power Rating for Frame 5 Starting Means
What is the minimum power required for the Starting Means of a GE Frame 5 Gas Turbine?

Please can anyone help with the minimum or ideal power rating for the staring means of the a GE MS5001 Gas Turbine?

So typically the Starting Means would be composed of say a Diesel Engine and a Torque Converter attached to it. So I'll like to know the ideal power rating of the Diesel Engine (hp or kW, possibly torque values at rated speed) and that of the Torque Converter (hp, kW and Torque).

The diesel is a Detroit 600 HP Twin Turbo. Previously (20-25 years ago) it was a Cummins 500 HP.

For the Torque Converter, etc. I'd need to see a Frame 5 Control Spec. I don't have one. Maybe someone else on the forum has one?
