can any body tell me about choke valves application. Why we need it in production wells, or where else i can see these installed for what purpose.

How we differentiate choke valve with control valve

 

I can't understand what do you mean "choke valve".
may be your purpose is check valve which is "one way" or "non return" valve and only use for avoid of flow reversing only.

 

choke valve is an angle valve which is used as the first element after well head.
