How can we program AB Powerflex 40 to reset to zero or certain preset speed after a stop command or power loss has occurred

 

Normally after a stop you have to manually restart it unless you set a
parameter to allow it to restart itself.

 

What is your normal method of referencing? Where does the speed reference/setpoint come from now? A pot? A Preset? Comms like ethernet, etc.? You'll to give more info to get a better/quicker answer.

 

SS1 - Safe Stop 1, SSL - Safe Speed Limiting, or one of the variety of safety stopping modes in the ISO standard, depending on your exact application. The most well known being STO, Safe Torque Off.

Most manufacturers have a VSD offering that can do more than the basic STO if you are prepared to pay a little extra.
