AC Drives at Paper Machine
Dear All,
We have 8 AC drives on 3 Rolls in Press section of Paper machine. These drives are in Master-Follower communications link. Follower takes the speed reference from the Master Drive. These are arranged in group of two comprising 4 drives per group.
Yesterday we had a problem on Paper Machine that one drive of the first 4 drives group in press section had the speed less than all of the other drives of that group due to which Paper sheet broke. We adjusted the load sharing and paper draw Set Point but all in vain. We changed the encoder of that drive. The situation was under control but it is surprising. Also the tension controller was going to maximum value again and again.
