I can't load project created in the ProTool to OP15A operator panel. When downloading, message is appearing:

The current firmware of operator panel is v2.1. Firmware v2.2 or higher is needed for ProTool. Can I download new firmware in the my OP15A operator panel?

 

There are two types of OP15. The older one was programmed with Comtext software, while the newer one was programmed with Protool. The two software packages were completely different and completely incompatible.

The newer OP15 was a transitional model which lead to the OP17. I believe that most of the OP15s that were sold were the older version that used Comtext.

I don't have the old catalogues anymore to tell which model was which, but are you sure that the one you are dealing with is compatible with Protool? The OPs themselves looked physically identical, and the only way to tell them apart was by the part number.

I worked with a lot of OP15s and I never had a problem with firmware revisions other than this basic model difference.
