Toshiba power transformer cooling system

Hi everybody

We have three Toshiba power transformer 14.5KV/225KV, each one is connected to a 9E gas turbine.

For the first and second turbine oil pumps of the transformer are running permanently, but for the third transformer, oil pumps (2) don't run and when I checked the drawing I found that the order of pump starting is given by an oil circulation indicator (IFO-1 for pump 1 and IFO-2 for pump 2) installed between the pump outlet and the radiator.

When I force this indicator (by moving up the needle) the pump runs, and after releasing the needle the pump keeps running about 10 seconds after and stops

The question is Should the pump run after the needle be at up (presence of flow) or should the needle moves to up by flow created by the pump?

The used flow indicator is from INDUBRAS type: IMF-100

Best Regards
